GEXIM POISED TO PROMOTE MADE IN GHANA GOODS FOR EXPORT

The Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Exim Bank, Mr. Lawrence Agyinsam, has given the strong indication that, the Bank is poised to support local companies to produce quality and high standard goods for export.

Mr. Lawrence Agyinsam said this, when he officially opened the maiden ‘Tuesday Market’ forum at the Forecourt of the Ghana Exim Bank Corporate Head Office, EXPORT TRADE HOUSE in Accra on Tuesday, 5th February, 2019.

Mr. Agyinsam said the Bank was not set-up only to financially support SME’s to produce for the export market, but also to create a one-stop-shop market for these companies being supported by the Bank to showcase their products to the general public and interested clients.

“The Tuesday Market “is an initiative to offer our clients as well as producers in Made-in-Ghana goods within our strategic focus areas, a congenial platform to promote their products”, he said, whilst inspecting the stands of the 15 Exhibitors who participated in the maiden event.

Mr. Lawrence Agyinsam also stressed that, the Bank is ready to support companies in the Packaging Industry so that, we can package and export products with the highest International standard in mind.

The Chief Executive Officer also stressed that, the forum will enable Exhibitors to expand their market for their produce and build the necessary business networking.

Also visiting the Exhibitors, was Mrs. Nana Ama Poku, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, who expressed her delight that the Bank has been able to create such a business-like congenial networking environment as the “Tuesday Market”.

“With a bit of publicity around this event, we hope to expand it,” she said.

Participants at the maiden event included ALFIE, NEIP, Leather on Call, DELCHRIS and Nokware. Other Exhibitors who showcased their products were All Natural, Harmony Trends Ghana, to mention a few.
